THE SOUTHEAST ASIA GLOBE
The Southeast Asia Globe, considered one of the most trusted media outlets in Cambodia, is an independent newsroom with journalists across the region. Originally, I joined The Globe as a reporting intern, before transitioning to a full-time staff reporter covering news and the environment. Alongside my text reporting, I produce photos and videos to bolster The Globe's multimedia storytelling.
Outside of my coverage, I created a process to translate our most meaningful stories from English to Khmer, in order to better engage with local audiences. I spearheaded collaborations between The Globe and other news organizations, like Frontier Myanmar, The Mekong Eye, The Third Pole, China Dialogue and VOD Khmer. Lastly, I apply for journalism grants to support The Globe's investigations, with successful applications to The Pulitzer Center and The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation. |
