ABOUT ME & CONTACT
The first article I ever wrote was awful. It was so bad my managing editor had to keep it from running in the newspaper that week. He lied and told me the story needed “more time to develop” — a phrase that meant absolute garbage. That was four years ago, I haven't had a story cut since.
I'm currently based in Phoenix, Arizona as an Environmental Reporter for The Arizona Republic/AZ Central, which is part of the USA Today Network. I'm a 2020 graduate from Elon University, where I double majored in Journalism and International Relations.
My reporting has taken me to leprosy colonies in Brazil, refugee camps in Jordan, teacher protests in Morocco, Confederate rallies in the South and a dozen other incredible places. On the field, I conduct interviews, take photos, record video and have knack for convincing people to go on the record. Off the field, I code websites, create data visualization and can turn over a story whenever it's needed.
My dream to become an investigative journalist covering conflict zones began in the 8th grade and hasn't changed. I want my stories to shine a light on the issues impacting humanity that are currently being left in the dark.
