ABOUT ME & CONTACT
The first article I ever wrote was awful. It was so bad that my managing editor cut it from the newspaper, he lied and told me the story needed “more time to develop” — a phrase we now use to mean absolute garbage. That was three years ago, I haven't had a story cut since.
My reporting has taken me to refugee camps in Jordan, teacher protests in Morocco, Confederate rallies in the South, presidential inaugurations in the capital and other incredible places. I proudly serve as the managing editor of The Pendulum, the print edition of Elon News Network, the student-run news organization at Elon University, where I double major in Journalism and International & Global Studies.
I'm from the Philippines but have been studying in the U.S. since 2014. I'm a proud member of the Asian American Journalists Association, the Society of Professional Journalists and Investigative Reporters and Editors.
My dream is to become an investigative journalist working in conflict zones around the world. I want my stories to shine a light on the issues impacting humanity that are being left in the dark.
